Default Using the Trak 2 with PT HD...

I currently use the Trak 2 with a Mix Plus and am thinking about upgrading to an HD2 -192 I/O system.
I'm trying to work out how I can get the optimum use out of the Trak 2 in the new set up.

Would it be better to connect the Trak 2 to the 192 I/O via AES/EBU?
could I sent clock info to and from either unit this way?
or would it be better to I connect to the legacy port----limited to 48 kHz?

I currently have the 8 analogue out card on the Trak 2 will I still be able to use those additional 8 outs?

Grateful for any advice,

Rene
