Default configuring 2nd harddrive for audio?

Hi there,
I have a PIII 1GHZ PC (old I know) with a 2nd harddrive for audio. I have a just bought an MBox and tried to configure the 2nd harddrive for DMA in device manager as per Getting started manual. However, it won’t allow me to select DMA it selects PIO only. The system drive is o.k.
So when I try to record on the audio drive, protocols LE 6.4 stops it and tells me to adjust the buffer size. No matter what size I set it it doesn’t record. However, if I record on the system harddrive it records perfectly, no problems at all.
So I figure maybe the jumper setting on the audio harddrive is not set properly or something else? It should operate under DMA.
Any help much appreciated!

Hello dubs,

You'll need to give us more info on that second drive...
Type, rotational speed, what controller is connected to...

good luck,
