Pro Tools First vs. Pro Tools

Hi All

I'm new to Pro Tools and need some guidance. I'm trying to make a decision between using Pro Tools first or Purchasing the download version. I'm used to working with Acid Pro but I'm looking to move into Pro Tools so I can record live instruments.

I currently am looking at using the Windows based version and I have the Audiovox USB device to record my instruments. My goal is to build my tracks using loops and then take my laptop over to my friends house to record the instruments.

What are your thoughts gang?

I would start using PT|First to see how it works, and then decide whether or not to move up to PT. Below is a comparison chart. Good luck.

Also I'd look into seeing if Acid can be Rewired into PT.
