Default Suspend Automation Playback for some but not all

Is it possible to suspend automation playback for some but not all parameters on a track?

For example ... on a track we have volume, mute, and Plug automation. We want to suspend the Volume and Mute automation but still playback the plug automation ..... anyway to do ths?

You can command-click on the parameter in the edit window to disable it. Click on Volume and Mute to disable them, they go gray in the display.

Hi,

Command+option click on the volume/pan to disable it! this will only last untill you re-boot PT unfortunately

I asked for this before as it causes major problems when using multi channel soft synths/samplers and having several sounds assigned to one patch,(ala string section) the volume and pan info sent to the soft synth will mess up the various volumes and pan positions in the multi setup etc.

Ah yes I see ... thanks.

It seems (if I am not mistaken) that if you hold <shift><opt><cmd> and click any parameter (on the edit page) to suspend automation you will suspend ALL the automation parameters in the session at once ... then you can unsuspend (ie: the plug automation) if that's all you want active. Seemed to work perfectly from my quick trial just now.

Great solution to my problem .... thanks again ... (you learn something new everyday).

Good information about this not surviving a solftware re-boot Chris. In my case, this isn't a problem, but I can understand where is is for you.
