Eleven Rack Midi / FCB1010 issues.....

Hope someone has a suggestion for me.....Im trying to upload a sysex file to my Behringer FCB1010 with UNO chip and Im having troubles. The foot switches change the patches in the ER ok (so the FCB is talking to the ER), but when I try to send data to the FCB I get no communication. Ive tried FCB1010 editor an Ripworx but no luck. Both programs have had the midi in/out set to the Eleven Rack and the global midi on the ER is set to omni but still no joy. Im running Win7 32bit if that helps.

I used the MOTU Fastlane USB port to send messages to my FCB 1010. I didn't even try the Eleven Rack.

I use XP but... have you checked the basics ie connection of USB MID Interface (MIDI out from interface to MIDI in on FCB) and that you have Sysex receive enable on FCB (through global config) ?

I was hoping to not have to buy another interface just to update the FCB.
After all the ER is a USB midi interface.
All the connections are as they shoud be..... in to out and out to in.
Sysex recieve is also turned on.

Others may be able to correct me if i'm wrong but - I believe you need to program the FCB directly from Ripworx etc via MIDI/USB interface cables (mine cost $15) I don't believe it can be done via the 11R interface

Let me guess. You are not using 2 midi cables, am I right?

haha, yup both midi cables are connected.
Its your sysex file Im trying to send Robert. I thought it might be a walk up start to getting the fcb to talk to the ER, but no joy.

Should be very simple. I'm happy to help you. Be sure the out on the 11R is going to the in on the FCB1010 and then the reverse with the other cable the out on the FCB1010 is going to the in on the 11R.

Turn on your 11R plug in your FCB1010 and fire up the FCB Editor. It should read the SYSEX file from your FCB.

In the FCB editor under the presets tab click on the Read SYSex button choose the file you want to load. Once it is read click on the transmit SYSEX button. Now c;ick on the Recieve SYSEX button to verify you got the new SYSex loaded.

thanks for that clear advice. I have a strange phenomenon with my FCB - I guess I have successfully uploaded the SysEx (not through the 11R, but through my Swissonic Midi 1x1 interface), but the FCB is behaving strange. When I hit pedal no. 6 it seems to turn up the treble control on the 11R to full (10). When I hit the other pedals it is sending something as well because the 11R's save button gets red (=patch modified). But I can neither see nor hear what parameter has been changed.
There seems to be something wrong either with the programming of the FCB or the MIDI setup of the 11R.
I know it's hard to do a remote diagnosis but can you think of anything I need to check or verify?

Yes Robert, thats how I have the cables connected.
Just to be clear, what software editor are you using and what version is it?
