Mixer Disconnect
OK, this one is driving me nuts, and I can't find anything on the digi site about it. I'm getting crashes with a brand new PT8 Rig, running on an 2.8 8-Core Mac Pro, using an expansion chassis, PE6R4. Most of the time, everything is fine. But now and again, I get the beach ball, PT will quit, with the little box showing up that says
"The mixer that I was connected to has gone away. I'll go back to playing out of the default audio output device" I don't even know WHAT THE HECK THAT MEANS! Anyone shed any insight into this? It's rendering my system really annoying.

OK, it appears that it's not ProTools issuing that comment above, but Sound Miner. So it must have something to do with ReWire, which I was using to audition sound miner in ProTools.
So somehow the ReWire engine is crashing and dropping offline, and it's taking down ProTools. Will try to work without it and see if it works...
