edgy percussive vocal compression.. how is it achieved?
Hi All.. newbie here, can anyone please explain how this vocal effect is achieved?

Easily found on youtube
 My guess:1-A really good LDC mic 2-Double-tracked(skillfully) 3-sung by someone very conscious of mouth noises, working very close 4-Lots of compression(maybe 2 or 3 in series) 5-thru a preamp with a very forward character(API 312?)
