Default When importing tracks to a session…

Whenever I have attempted to import say 3 tracks from the same session in to a a new blank session, they don’t appear to be imported in sync, in fact they definitely are not!! Its like they are all shunted to the start, which is no good if you have a wee guitar solo in the middle!!

Any ideas?

Cheers.

How are you importing them?

It sounds as if you're using 'Import Audio to Track', which always places them at the beginning of the track. You could use either 'Import Session Data' to import a track from another session and keep it's timing the same as if it was in the original session, or you can import audio in 'spot' mode and spot it to it's original timecode, assuming it was recorded and tagged in the previous session.

Ye that will be it thanks. So for example, say I wanted to import a vocal track in to soundforge do some tuning work, then would I be able to get it back into the same spot in protools after some tuning (negating any plug-in latency just now)
