Default I keep getting a delay while recording

I keep getting a delay while recording, How can I fix thie latency.... While tracking vocal... I say blah blah and about 1/2 second or less later I hear it in the headphones... What is causing this!!!

Change you hardware Buffer to 128.

or if you are monitoring thru a mixer, you can mute the track thats being recorded in protools and route the vocals thru the mixer as well as the output of your dig hardware. Poor man's upgrade to no latency

Go under Operations, and turn ON 'Low Latency Monitoring'. I bet that's it.

I agree turning on Low latency monitoring will help mainly.
If your PC can handle it or you have a simple session, go down to 128 also
