Default Need Help Please

Hey Folks,

I've been using an MBox2 for quite some time now just to record some ideas. The software is pretty damn old apparently as its Pro Tools LE 7. I would like to upgrade to a version that does NOT require the use of the hardware to do editing. I was hoping to just upgrade to the newest version 10 or 11 which I believe has this option. However I went on the site and saw that it is selling for $899! Is this my only option or is there something less expensive in the digi design world that I can use to edit my protools sessions? Thanks for your help.

Sean

Seems odd that you saw that.
Both the Avid site and Avid Store come up with a big advertisement telling you that it's $199 to upgrade to Pro Tools 11.

Nope. LE customers are not on that upgrade anymore.

Just look at the Avid Store, The LE users were offered the $199 upgrade for a pretty long time and Avid said it was until 30 th or 31 st of Dec 2014

So i doubt you can find that upgrade anymore

Sorry for the bad news

Best Regards
Christopher

You could buy a new Eleven rack, which includes Pro Tools 11(and 10) software, keep the software and sell the rack unit. You'll end up spending somewhere around $300, which is better than $899

It's still easy to find the PT Crossgrade at dealers and use the interface of your choice.
