Default Re: Plug ins vs. Hardware Reverbs

I am having some issues getting my MPX 1 to work with My 002. I have the SPDIF cables coming out of my MPX1 into my 002. I am using the SPDIF insert in my 002 for the Lexicon. Whenever I route a signal throug it I don't get any sound.

The MPX 1 is setup for Digial audio out and is setup to synchronize with the clock on my Presonus Digimax LT.

Any help is appreciated.. I am new to trying to use an external reverb with my rig. I can get the MPX 1 to work with the analog (TRS/XLR) conectors just not the SPDIF.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Robert...

The MPX1 has settings for Digital internal or external. It doesn't always sync up depending on the boot-up sequence which causes it to reset to a workable configuration. I haven't tried to route the MPX1 with the Digimax LT yet. The OO2 would probably have to be the master clock. Take the Digimax LT into the OO2 through ADAT (litepipe) and send the OO2 SPDIF to the MPX1 and return the MPX1 back into PTLE. The Digimax LT will need to be set to external clock also.

Anything is better than d-verb, even two cans and a string

Just before Kind of Loud was bought, or was going through some kind of drastic change, they briefly offered Realverb for unbelievably low price of $50. That was the best spent money of my life.

Realverb on OS9 is better than any outboard I've ever used, and I've used plenty.

u should consider a lexicon pcm 91 over a mpx1.
the mpx is nice but the 91 is the king, and should be within your budget for a 2nd hand off ebay.

Second the PCM-90/91....

I own the 90 and love it, use it all the time and man it is nice to build your own room. Something about it adds a nice warm e-mail to the music.

What is a good /excellent quality Plug in for reverb.
I would like to keep by budget to $1000.00 CDN.

Quality is my goal!!!
Well, I've been using the new Oxford Reverb for the past two weeks. I am very very happy with the results. Two other engineers commented on the quality of the reverb in my last mix. I prefer it over Trueverb and Rverb. My demo expires today so now I'm going out to purchase it. It will be about $700.00 CDN. Try out the demo.
