Post Workflow

Am going to have several projects coming up in the immediate future that will originate in the US.
I am mixing all of them in UK and will be using latest Pro Tools Ultimate.
The picture will be cut in the US and they are wanting to know if there are
any advantages /pitfalls to be aware of using DaVinci Resolve or alternatively Adobe Premiere Pro.
They are also willing to consider adding in Frame.io if needed.
Anybody have some ideas for me?

Well, AAF export in Resolve 16 is still quite rudimentary. Not as buggy as in 15 but still no metadata export. You will be left without scene and take numbers and field recorder workflow will be broken. I would even say that Resolve does not import iXML data correctly.

Resolve 17 beta just came out. Catalina only but who knows, maybe the AAF export has improved

If you can get the EDL from the picture editor, I can't say enough great things about Marc Spector's software Kraken! You won't need to worry about the metadata you're missing from the AAF because you can "recreate" the dialogue portion of your AAF from the original sound rolls AND have all the field recorder channels in place.
