Default Insert Measures

I would like to insert 4 bars at the beginning of a song but I've been unable to find a reference in the guide as to how to do this. Could someone give me some direction on this? Thanks for your help.....MusicGuy

Easy way is to select all then slide the region 4 bars.I assume you already have recorded audio and just want to put 4 bars at the beginning.Or you can select all and then go to EDIT>Shift and type in the amount you want to shift the audio

Is there some way to make the existing markers shift when you do an insertion like that? or do you have to move each marker individually?

I personally recommend you change the session start time in the Session Setup Window.. however, to have markers included in the edit.. shift + click in the Marker timeline to include them while editing.

I change the start time as SMPTE -- the top of my session is never bar 1 anyway -- and your session start time should normally be around 1 hour.

The advantage to changing the session start time is that Original Time Stamps remain intact.

BTD doesn't have to start from the top of the session.. simply make a selection before BTD.
