Default 001 MIDI PROBLEM-PLEASE HELP

hey all, I was hoping someone could help me get my midi problem sorted out. I am running Pro-Tools 5.2 with an 001. So my MIDI has been working fine for about 2 years now, but just recently it stopped working. We are simply using the step editor in PT to control our synths, but just recently haven't been getting any sound when making midi notes. I am not a newbie, my connections are correct, but still can't figure this out. I would really appreciate it if one of you guys could help me out, maybe I did something without even realizing it. ugggghhhhh---Thanks---Arnold

Hi,
Have you tried creating a new OMS setup. I would start there. If that doesn’t work I would go to System Folder / Preferences and trash these files. Pro Tools preferences and Digisetup. Next look in the System Folder for the OMS folder. Inside the OMS folder you should see the OMS preferences folder. Open this and look for OMS Current State and throw it in the trash. When you launch Pro Tools it should ask you to set up OMS again. If this doesn’t get it you should try trashing and reinstalling OMS. You will have to copy the 001 midi driver back into the OMS folder in the System Folder after you do this. You should find it on your LE CD in a System Folder Items. Hope this helps.

Thanks,

hey, I tried everything above, but just realized I don't have my Pt LE disk , I do however still have my serial number. Does anyone know if you can download an 5.1 oms folder, like you can download software updates, by entering your serial. I did a small search on the web, couldn't find anything tho. just curious if anyone has had the same problem. thanks Arnold
