Hardware Delay Compensation
Hi all,
I have been noticing some abnormal delay comp issues when mixing. For example on my parallel drums bus i usually put a RED3 or some other hardware comp on as a hardware insert, but have been noticing some slight phasing issues between the main drums bus and the paralleled drums? (this happens with DC on both short and long settings) but when I insert a blank hardware insert on the main drums bus, (just a loop out of 5&6 back into 5&6, no actual unit) the drums tighten up and get the punch back. I have noticed this on various versions of Tools, and in different studios. It's worrying to have doubts about whether or not DC is sample accurate... Any thoughts or workarounds you have come across would be welcome |
