Default Mbox I/O setup?

Hi,

I'm fairly new to PT9. I've had my Mbox set up for a while, running computer audio through it works fine, used it with Logic, etc. However when I open up a PT session, the audio plays through my computer speakers (despite the fact that I can't change the volume of my computer while the Mbox is set as my output).

How should I set up the I/O? It automatically sets up the Pro Tools Aggregate I/O, and I'm not familiar enough with the I/O menu to figure it out.

Any help would be appreciated!

Go to Setup->Playback Engine and at the top of that window next to Current Engine change it from Aggregate I/O to Mbox.

Press and hold "n" when Protools is starting (splash page) and it will eventually go to the I/O selection screen where you can select your Interface (Mbox 2 series or Mbox 3 series). This is assuming you loaded the appropriate driver which is a separate download/install.

Ah, thank you so much. It was the playback engine. For whatever reason, I was overlooking that because I kept thinking that it must be under the setup->Hardware dialogue.

Thanks!
