Default Fast Track Duo...always on?

I record audio daily, using the 48v power. Unit is connect to my iMac. Both the power led and the 48v power light remain on. Is this okay? I want to use this unit for the next few years. I don't want to have to disconnect and reconnect unit every time I record. Again, is it okay to leave it always on? With the old M-Audio Fast Track Pro, there was a power switch, so I would could easily turn it off when not in use. That unit lasted for 10 years. There is no power switch on this newer unit, so is this safe to leave on most of the time, 24/7. Thanks!

I don't think there is any particular issue with leaving it powered on. That said, my general advice to folks regarding leaving electronics on 24/7 (computers or otherwise), is that you're possibly wasting the usable lifespan of a device just letting it sit there on and unused. This is more an issue with something with physically moving parts (hard drives, fans etc.).
