Midi velocity question
For some reason when recording drums using Xpand2, I notice the drum stikes can sound louder or softer. I figured it was me hitting the Oxygen49 keyboard harder or softer, but after concentrating on my hits for quite some time, I think something else is going on.. My question here is, is it possible to change the velocity of drum hits on an entire track at one time so all the velocity hits are at the same level?
I might as well ask here if there are any settings on Xpand2 that might be causing the different sounding hits, even though nothing is being changed while playing? Thanks for any insight, Richrdc |

Re: Midi velocity question
Pro Tools upper menu > Event > MIDI Real Time properties > activate Velocity tab > now by setting Minimum and Maximum velocity value you can make all incoming hits the same hardness. Minimum=127 makes it hardest. You can obviously set a range in between as well (say, min 115 max 127).
