Default 002 not recognizing intel update

I have recently picked up a new mac book, and had pro tools up and running via an 002... I tried opening pro tools today and no dice. Only been using this setup for 2 weeks without a problem. I tried running Reason to try and ouput through the 002 and there is an X beside it in preferences... any ideas???
