Default -6101

man Im having alot of trouble with this error message. running the smallest project, It will pop up. recording vocals is a b*#@%. Not to mention trying to play my guitar over some of my tracks. I need a answer to this problem Ive brought this up before and got nothing.
Im using a imac 2ghz 2gig of memory osx version 10.3.9. (or something like that) mpowered7.1 project mix. I should be in good shape. Its hard making money off software thats not acting right . help me out if you care

p.s. I changed my buffer size but still got the -6101 error message

if you are really using o.s. 10.3.9 you shouldnt be using 7.1 they made 7.0 for 10.4 and up try going back to 6.8 until you go up to Tiger or check the digidesign compatibility page...

your right my bad when i get home I will check the os but what ever the case, mpowered 7.1 loads up good, not a problem there. Its the error message that is.

check your driver make sure its the newest one from maudio for 10.4.5...uno

I know this is late in the game, but ...

I had this problem recently, and I discovered that it was related to "where" my mbox's usb cable was plugged in. The problem disappeared for me when I plugged my cable directly into a USB port on the computer instead of a powered hub port (or keyboard or monitor port).

Answer Details

Getting error -6101 message when using Pro Tools M-Powered v6.8r2 (for Mac OS 10.4).

Receiving digital input with a mismatched sample rate via the S/PDIF input may cause –6101 errors and lost input signals.
