Default 003 problem you wont believe!!!! REAMP RE-AMP

Get this. Im simply trying to re-amp my guitar track.

Before I get started, yes, everything is hooked up correctly!

For those of you that dont know what reamping is, here is the definition:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Re-amp

Scenario:

Session contains ONLY TWO tracks.

Track 1 / input 1 is a standard Sure SM57 microphone directly in front of the speaker of a guitar cabinet.

Track 2 / input 2 is the DI box signal of the guitar

WHEN I RECORD THE TWO TRACKS SIMULTANEOUSLY THE DI TRACK IS LATE!

You can see and hear the difference. Not by much but enough to be a problem.

Any suggestions?

What's your H/W Buffer set to?

How far is the mic from the speaker?

How long are the cables you are using with the DI box?

Which DI box?

My understanding of"re-amping" is to take the output of a previusly recorded part in to an amp and record the miked amp, in this situation you will most defenetly have to re-align the tracks,if I understand you correctly and recording both tracks at the same time you will still get a bit of delay same as say overhead mikes and snare or kick mikes if its a problem for you adjusted manually
