Yes. It came out today and has been fully tested and approved by Digidesign. Dive right in!

Hold off, wait... if 10.4.7 is anything to go by, Digidesign will wait 6 months, and then post on their website (not here) when it's supported. By that time, Leopard will probably be out.

It has not been fully tested and it has not been approved by Digidesign. Stay away until it's qualified unless you want major headaches.

I'm using a Mac Pro in a "non critical" environment, and I've loaded up 10.4.8. and have had no problems.

I think Apple are just racing to 10.4.9 so that can try and get us all to buy Leopard .

No Chance!!!!

I upgraded to 10.4.8 on my Powerbook (not my primary PT computer), and PTLE7.1cs9 seems to be working fine.

As of 10/2, Digidesign maintains on their website that no Digidesign products have been officially qualified for 10.4.8. Search for "10.4.8" on the digidesign website to pull up the compatibility page.

Sorry guys, this post was supposed to be read with a large dose of sarcasm. I was actually just informing everyone that the update was available. But thanks for all who posted. My studio is in the middle of a move, so since I'm not working on any music I'm in kind of a super-sarcastic mode. Mmmmmust mmmmake mmmmmusic.......
