Default Pro Tools 9 killed my Garageband

Hello,

So I recently downloaded PT9 to my macbook pro with lion, but now my Garageband (which I use to quickly record acoustic demos with the onboard mic) won't work or respond to anything. Any idea how I can have them both work? They used to back on my old macbook with PT7...

Yes. There's a Digidesign driver which is installed which kills Garageband. The driver can be safely removed as long as your interface isn't a 002 if I remember correctly. I'll have a look around to see which one it is.

Hi again

The name of the driver is:

DigiDioMidiDriver

Its only purpose is to control the physical MIDI ports on the 002 and 003 interfaces. If you don't use a 002 or 003 you can safely remove it. This has been confirmed by DigiTechSupt here.
