Default missing 3rd party direct connect

I've been trying to run the kontakt 1.1 demo. Even though the installer has placed the kontakt direct connect plug in in my dae folder I can't get said plug in to appear in a session. Help me if you can.

Create a stereo aux track.

add the kontakt plug-in to insert A and you're away.

of course you'll be as annoyed as I was when there's no clear way of playing 1 single midi channel without them all coming out at once, the plug-in is limited to 8 stereo outputs from what I can tell from playing with it long enough to know I'd rather use something that works better than Kontakt does.

It's been an overhyped letdown for me when I saw the cpu hogging performance and lame integration with protools.

I think I'd go for it when they've got it under OS X and offer more outputs like 1 stereo output for upto 16 midi channels. or mixed and matched between 32 midi channels and 32 mono and stereo tracks. 8 outputs is so lame, I'd rather wait for sampletank 2 myself.

John H. thanks for the reply but the problem is that I can't add the kontakt dc plug to a stereo aux track because I'm not given the option. Hmm. thanks for your opinion on the program though. Sampletank 2 does sound pretty good.
