interesting Firmware Question/Delema
Okay.. so to start off i am running 2 versions of Mac OS X.
One, is Tiger, and the Other, Leopard. I did this so i could 'test the waters' with compadibility. when running leopard and pro tools 7.4.2 i dont get as good performance as on my tiger partition. i switch to tiger if i'm opening a big project. now, my delema. When opening pro tools 7.4 on my TIGER partition, it says "003 rack has system firmware v7.4.2.109 which does not match the current system firmware 7.4.0.320 would you like to update to the current version?" i click later.. but my question is, is there a way where i can bypass this message without clicking later all the time? is the firmware THAT important between what i currentley have (the more updated one) than the one its asking me to run? sorry if this seems a little confusing.

Re: interesting Firmware Question/Delema
When switching between the two Pro Tools versions, that message is going to come up when the firmware version in the profile doesn't match the version in the unit and there's no way to disable the message from appearing.
You'll just have to click 'later' when launching on the Tiger partition. |
