Default SansAmp plug-in and delay compensation

Maybe I've never noticed this before, or maybe something's changed recently. But I was recently trying to use sansamp plug-in on an aux in parallel with a clean aux and was getting some terrible phasing problems. Yes, delay compensation is active Anybody know if this is a known issue or if there's a way to adjust?

Nothing changed, it has always been like that. I think that the phase of the plug shifts slightly depending on its setting, just like the hardware versions of Sans Amps do. However, with the Sans Amp hardware, I can usually get it to where it doesn't sound phasey, but I can never really get the plug-in to sound close to in phase on an aux return, even using different time adjusting plug-ins and delay compensation.

Not sure about the delay problem, but I've notice a big sound difference between the older versions of SansAmp and the version that comes 'free' with PT8.

Maybe Digi could confirm if the algorithm's have been changed?

waves c4 and the sans amp plug were the only 2 on my system that measured "off" with regards to delay compensation.

I am too hearing a change to better. I was just recently cutting some demo tracks and later found myself preferring the demo tracks sound of sansap to the real amp

To me, the version that comes with PT8 sounds weaker and thinner than the older ones....

And it's a free download for all not just PT8

I guess they dummied it down being that it's free now

I find it useless
