Dear Digi,

Actually, Why the read me files didn't indicate the Pro Tools v8 is not yet tested and qualify for DTDM under Logic Pro 8.0.2?

It's very annoying to pay for an application and can't used it.

Why is logic Pro 8.0.2 posted as compatible in "Pro Tools Plug-in & Software Compatibility Grid" when the DTDM is presently not supported?

http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?...n=news_details

When do hope to see a maintenance release?

Best regards,
Baba Omar Jr.

Core Audio, on the other hand, should work fine. The above testing would only be for DAE/DTDM mode.
Okay, are you saying that Pro Tools 8 and Logic 8 can't run together, or that Logic 8 doesn't work on a computer that has PT8 installed?

Just wondering if Logic 8 will work on my HD system with PT 8 installed.

It sounds like using Logic with DAE hasn't been tested and is causing a few crashes.

Using Logic with CoreAudio works fine according to DigiTechSupport.

Having the two programs (Protools & Logic 8) installed on the same partition shouldn't cause any issues.

We're investigating this, but don't have a solution at the moment. As far as I can tell, something broke between the last testing of Logic and the release build of Pro Tools. We're going to try to get a fix out for this as soon as possible, but until we identify exactly what the problem is, it will be difficult to project a release date.

I'll let you know as soon as I have any further info on this.

Does the Pro Tools HD 8.0cs1 update resolves the PT v8 & Logic Pro 8.0.2. DTDM incompatibility?
