Default FCP & PTHD on the same system?

Is anyone out there running Finalcut Studio on the same system as their PT HD rig? I'm just wondering if they are compatible. I thought I'd start by installing it on a separate partition anyway, but if anyone has any dire warnings about having them on the same computer/partition I could save myself some heartache.

A few years ago I had Final Cut Pro installed on the same system drive as Pro Tools and had no issues. Used Final Cut to capture video to import into PT. Right now I have Final Cut Express installed on the same system drive as an HD 2 system with no problems. I personally have not run across anyone that have had issues with these two living together.

One thing I did have to watch out for is having the two systems running at the same time. If PT was open and using video out firewire, then Final Cut could not capture via firewire. When launching Final Cut it would give me a "general error" warning and nothing else. Finally realized that PT was using the firewire port and not allowing FC to capture. I would turn off video out firewire in PT and all would be fine. Other than that it's all good. Others may have a different experience however.

No problems here, G5, OSX 10.4, Blackmagic Decklink.
I have not tried using both simultaneously, though.

This should work fine - I have FCP installed on LE, MP and HD systems without problems.

FCP6 and PTHD 7.4 running concurrently here.

Typically using FCP to digitize something, i.e. a very non-demanding, low-memory use. In this scenario FCP doesn't use many resources unless it's rendering or playing. Haven't tried it with a big project loaded.

You can configure FCP to not talk to Firewire, then there are no firewire conflicts w/ PT.

Using a canopus ADVC-100 firewire DV codec box here.
