marker numbers - can they be automatically re-numbered?
Is there a better way to auto re-number markers other than the export - import midi trick?

Re: marker numbers - can they be automatically re-numbered?
Hey, Matt,
I don't know of any easy way to auto renumber the markers, but what's the export - import midi track? |

Click once in the marker ruler, select all, cut and paste... unless I don't understand what you want.

In the Marker Window you can change the number to something that is not taken. With a little planning, you can renumber them the way you want. Tedious. Slow. But it is a way to renumber a few. If you need to do a lot, then you need to do the export/import MIDI trick.

Nice tricks those. Do you have to use a midi track? Can you not just delete the markers and re-import them from the session-file you have open without saving over it before? Or will it only work via midi?
frank.

It only works with MIDI. If you import from another session, it retains the same number as the session of origin. Pity. Would be nice to have a feature that did this. But, to be honest, I do this so infrequently, the MIDI Export/Import trick is fine for me.

Re: marker numbers - can they be automatically re-numbered?
They previewed this at NAMM, and I've heard rumors that it should be coming in the next release, but can't confirm that.

Re: marker numbers - can they be automatically re-numbered?
i heard they were doign update for markers - that might solve.
think they were also adding extra marker tracks which would be nice any hints on when that might land?
