Drum software
I have tracked real drums for ever and have used loops like Drums on Demand
in Reason and Live for a long time. I always held of using drum making software because I knew nothing about constructing songs from a drum point of view. Now I am much more comfortable as I understand more from using the step sequencer in reason and other software. I would like to try a product where I can build them, Change tempos of loops. I would like to use my loops but if it comes with a good library or expansion kits that would be OK too. I produce mainly acoustic, unplugged sounds as well as funk and rock & roll. I want it for writing and quick stuff for some radio commercials I do. What are some that would fit the bill for me. Easy learning curve would be a plus but not a deal breaker Thanks Jimi |

Re: Drum software
I LOVE Addictive Drums!!
I also have both Reason Drumkit refill 2 and DKFH and still prefer AD. They have tons of ADPacks to suit many styles of music and it's light on the processors. Best of all it's crazy affordable! Check it out here: http://www.xlnaudio.com/ Jeff |

Re: Drum software
Another vote for Addictive about to begin a solo singer songwriter project, writer was leery of "canned" drums and was sold after a demo.I use Steven Slate as well for harder edged songs and self made kits in Ableton Live.

Re: Drum software
Guitar Center has an instant rebate of $70 on Addictive Drums for the month of July. That makes it $129! Grab it!

Re: Drum software
Superior Drummer would be another popular option. Or you can buy Ez Drummer (and perhaps some expansion packs) and crossgrade to Superior; actually, this may currently be the cheapest way to get Superior (and Ez as well). http://www.dv247.com/search/0/0/Prod.../EZ+DRUMMER/1/
Then check out audiomidi.com's July offer for Superior and Ez packs (and there's Steven Slate packs as well).
