Default Pro Tools 11.2.1 to 11.3.0 question

So right now I have Pro Tools 11.2.1 running successfully on Mac OS 10.9.5.

To upgrade to 11.3.0 do I have to upgrade to 11.2.2 first or can I go straight to 11.3.0?

Do I have to uninstall Pro Tools 11.2.1 before I upgrade? The Read Me doc isn't fully clear on this.

As a side issue having bought and installed Waves Reel ADT plug in today, ALL of my official licensed Waves plug in's have failed to load in PT today "because they are not valid 64 bit AAX plugins", all worked fine before in my PT 11.2.1. Sent a (still to be answered) support request to Waves. Wondered if upgrade PT would help as 11.3.0 officially now supports OS 10.9.5.

Any guidance gladly received. Much appreciated.

I did an install over PT11.2.1. Some will always suggest you uninstall any version before loading any other version. Others don't find that necessary.

If you wish to uninstall:

Pro Tools 11 on Mac does not include an uninstaller. Below documents how to manually trash items installed by Pro Tools 11. This should not need to be performed as there are no known problems with having these files on a system (with or without Pro Tools installed).

Move the following files to the trash to manually remove Pro Tools 11 completely from a Macintosh systems:
Mac HD/Applications/"Pro Tools"
Mac HD/Library/Audio/"MIDI Patch Names"
Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software/"Rex"
Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/"Audio"
The Audio folder contains: "Plug-In Settings", "Plug-Ins" and "Plug-Ins (Unused)

And here is info about PT10:

Note: The uninstaller for Pro Tools 10.3.9 and earlier will not work on Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks). For this reason Avid does not support using Pro Tools 10.3.9 or earlier with Mac OS X 10.9. If you have installed Pro Tools 10.3.x, you may follow the link above for instructions on how to manually uninstall the software.

Can't help with the Waves question.

Thanks Park. I will attempt an install of 11.3.0 over 11.2.1 when I finish my next session project.

Just also wondered whether I can miss out an install of 11.2.2 in between, not necessary to update to that first (gather 11.3.0 is a full version of all contemporary combined updates)?

All PT11 installers are full installers. You can install 11.3.0 on a freshly installed operating system.

This is not intended as a flippant reply, just an honest question....

If 11.2.1 is running successfully (It works great for me too), why are you "upgrading"?

Probably because 11.3.0 is the one that adds support for 10.9.5 and Yosemite...?
