Default upgraded to Windows 7, now I keep getting 6086 error. worked on XP

I was running Protools 8 on windows XP Service pack 3 on my IBM Think-pad T60 with no problems. All I had to do to get rid of playback/recording errors was disable on board sound and my wireless internet.

I just upgraded to Windows 7 , done all the digidesign updates(audio drivers, and PT8.0.1) an now I am seeing the playback error 6086 a whole lot more. It allows me to record with one track and one more stereo track playing a instrumental for pretty long but the more channels i add with audio or midi it hangs up more. I have 1GB of RAM with a dual core processor. CPU meter is not very high. Also I am having audio dropouts and hangups when I have record enabled a channel with a microphone plugged in but not recording or playing back.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. If you need more info please let me know. I am a certified Digidesign student from Omega in Rockville,MD. I figured i wouldn't list the minor things that are obvious to try.
Thanks in advance

Win7 is not XP & vice versa so it's kind of pointless to say what worked.. just search for the specific error itself & too remember Win7 is in beta test mode rite now...

With only 1gb ram I'm wondering the same thing... Only reason to go to W7 for PT is to get over 4gbs ram...
