Well it doesn't matter. I've been told that a C header file is needed which only Avid can supply, so it's a no go.
I'm still pissed that my 003 console works in PT11 but not the Pro Control.

I've kept my word. It's been 20 months since I found out that we wouldn't have support (March 2013) and I haven't bought Pro Tools HD 11.

I'll pay for the personality, but with no controller personality for Pro Control, I will not buy Pro Tools HD 11.

Also, I recently noticed that Universal Studios is still on Pro Tools HD 8 in most of their rooms, so at least I'm in good company.

That is Avid's problem!!!! Not enough users are upgrading, why, it's simply not compelling enough.

Hi, does anybody try to write some "driver" software, which will be translating the protocol from Control 24 to C24 style?

Than the Control 24 will be seen from protools like C24..

I'm thinking about it. I know a lot of people, who can for sure write this kind of software. Just wondering if someone knows anyone, who is already trying to organise it.

If there is nobody, than I'm sure I can do it. With some crowd funding server I can hire programmer to do it.

Do you think it is agains some patent rules? Or I can use the "avid" C24 protocol in my software. This could be eventually one problem. I don't want to fight with Avid's lawyers.

i think the best option would be to write a low latency translation app the will read incoming ethernet control data from the pro control and translate it to Advanced HUI / Mackie control so it can be used with any DAW, why go to all the trouble just to keep it with Pro Tools and give Avid to opportunity to turn it off again when C24 is killed?
