Default No sound Digi 003 console - read other posts - in a crisis.

I did a session....went on a week vacation...came back and No sound? I/O settings are to default and main outs are directly to speakers...no mute/alt cr or aux in is pushed...mute is off...i can take the 1/4 inch jacks out the back..touch them and hear the hum...so i know they are working....

communication is fine between the software and 003...metering is in action and all labels and everything is good to go...

checked the levels...panning....and everything i can think of...I am clueless...I have pro tools 8 and this system was bought new from guitar center in late 2008

Do you have any hidden tracks? Maybe there is a solo or mute engaged but you don't see the track? Try resetting the outputs under Setup>IO>output tab. check the output assignment on your tracks after as a change might default them all to no output.

Im wondering if its a firmware issue? I guess ill pay the 39 and call avid...also i just read the other posts...and im gonna go thru my io settings but they were all at default...also i created a new session with just two tracks...still no sound coming out ? communication seems fine between the mac and the unit...i updated to 8.04 running osx snow leopard...

i can pull out the 1/4 inch jacks and touch them and hear hum in the speakers...so its not that...ggggrrrrrrrrrr

Try reseting you I/O pages to their defaults. Also try deleting the Prefs. I've seen both of these fix this.
