Default HDX card still only shows 256 tracks
PT 2019.5.0 Ultimate is installed, along with the driver. My HDX card was also updated in the process but only show 256 tracks when opening a previous session. How do I get the promised track increase?

I have read somewhere that they will update hdx voice count with the next update.

By waiting The new HDX Firmware needed some more tweaking.

You've got to be kidding! That's BOGUS!! I've waited the whole year for that feature. The Read Me does not reflect that. Grrrrrr......

Okay, so a less expensive native card now has more voices than a premium HDX card? Sounds fair to me.

Hdx is an old platform. It’s not unsurprising that native cpu power is far more capable than a 9 year old dsp card.

Our original intent for this new Pro Tools release was to make additional voices available for HDX. Unfortunately our testing unveiled technical issues occurring in about 15% of cases and as we make quality and stability our top priorities, we couldn’t include the functionality in this release. We decided to release the additional voices for Pro Tools | Ultimate for HD Native and Pro Tools | Ultimate standalone, as it was a highly requested feature by our users to be able to open HDX sessions with large voice count on native systems. We will continue to work on the issue and hopefully provide additional voices on HDX in the near future.
