If you have a USB audio interface that you are satisfied with, tell me its name. I've been using Komplete 6. Time to move up a little. Thanks.

I'm happy with my Focusrite 18i20. It is a first gen, but I think they are up to 3rd gen now.
Plenty of inputs for recording drums. And ADAT in/out to add another 16 (only one on the first gen, 8 IO) IO if needed. Joel

Same here; Focusrite.
And even though I have one of the smallest, I think it sounds just fantastic. Dynamics, bottom, sizzle, tons of headroom. I've tried a lot of consumer-grade interfaces over the past 20 years, and I think it's just they've become better at designing good boxes over the years. Compare a modern Focusrite to an old Mbox, M-audio or whatever, and it's worlds beyond. My 2i2 even beats my Apogee Duet. What are you monitoring on? How's your room? Even the best of interfaces won't help bad speakers in a bad room.

Using a Presonus Studio 1810c here and its fine. As a 1-man operation doing mostly mixing and the occasional overdub of guitar, bass or midi keys, I probably would have been fine with one of the smaller Presonus units, but coming from a DIGI003, I like having some extra IO so I don't need to keep re-patching stuff. Both focusrite and Presonus have routing software that requires a little setup, but once that's done, you should not need to even open that software again.

If you can afford it, especially on Windows, RME as the their drivers are stellar.
