Dark Theme in Pro Tools 2020.11

Don't have a retina screen - keep in mind I'm working on a 2012 cheesegrater with a garden variety 1920x1080 screen

Clearly there's some degree of a learning curve to topple, but even beyond that I suspect that this Dark Mode will fall short. I prefer dark with almost every app I use, except for this one. My eyes like the look, but, as everyone is saying, it's too difficult to discern what is what.

I'm generally a big fan of dark modes all around, but this one feels wrong with the current interface. To me, it resembles taking a photo and inverting all the c colors. I'm going to try to get through 1 project with it and see if I can warm up to the look, but I have a feeling a revision to this will be coming along. BTW I run dual monitors, one at 2k resolution and one at 1080.

I'm also a longtime Logic Pro user and that has had a dark interface for ages and visually that color palette makes a lot more sense to me.

Get the icon set from the link above. Unzip it. Locate the icon inside the folder, click on it and hit Cmd+C to copy it in the clipboard.

Go to your Applications folder, locate ProTools app, select it and hit CMD+i to open the info window. Click on the icon, top left to select it, then hit CMD+V to paste the new icon, enter your admin password, done!
(same applies for the Eucon icon change).

getting the sense that the people who don't like it because they "can't see" things... are, um, older.

enjoy classic then I guess, I think this looks great for a first real new dramatic redesign in a decade.

Sure, in the info window, click on the icon (top left) to select it and hit Backspace, enter your admin password and the previous icon will return.
Also, bear in mind, that with every PT update it will revert to the original icon.

Apologies if this has been covered; in Win 10 Home, in dark mode and with PT 2020.11 in dark mode, my mix and edit window title bars are still light blue; and menu bar still white with black text; anyone know how to fix?
