Default meters move super slow

Does anyone else have problems with the PT meters moving super slow even when you don't have a lot of tracks. They seem to chop along, only changing about once a second. I have a 400MHZ G4. This is the second G4 I've worked on where I've experienced this problem.

wassup guys........

yeah I think this prob it found with os 8.x and 9.x,.....open up extension manager and look for the control panel called ' energy saving control panel'

If it is not ticked i.e. not active, then tick it to make it active and restart the mac. Once booted open up the energy saving control panel and set all the levels to 'never' BIG NOTE: don't use sleep mode on the mac,......why,......the mac goes to sleep,.....the mac wakes up,.....error message something like 'digi hardware cannot be detected' and you've gotta restart anyway!

that should do it ......... good luck!
