Default Convert files because of illegal characters.

Hey all

Just named some files in Protools, and exported them.
When trying to import them again, in another session, Im getting "Protools must convert files because of illegal characters (/)".
Thing is, the files does not contain any illegal characters. Only letters and some underscores.
Anyone knows what is going on here?

Im on OSX, and Protools HD 10.1.0.

Maybe unrelated to your problem, but why are you still on 10.1.0?
There have been so many bugfixes in 10.2, it's highly recommended, that you upgrade to this version. Maybe this will solve your problem as well.

Don't forget that the pathname in addition to the filename must not have illegal characters. Check the names of all the enclosing folders from root down...

Pathname checking solved this. The sound was placed in a folder which had a / in it.
Thanks again Nathaniel. I would never have come up with this my self!

You're welcome. I learned the hard way on this one. My memories of transitioning to Pro Tools 7 (I think this was when it got stricter) are pretty grim.
