Default Registration if 7.0 and pluggins

Idiots are us questions:

I just loaded my upgrade to 7.0 that I purchased in early December from GC. Everything on the main program seems to work fine. In fact may Waves Platinum plugs seem to work - I had thought I needed to upgrade from them for their plugs to work on 7.0, but they work.

Do I need to register the 7.0? I loaded on the DINR and now it wants me to register. I do have Ilok that came with my 002r purchase last May. So when I go to register is asks if I want to use license card. Which I am assuming I do NOT, as a license card was not included in the upgrade. So I uncheck that box and hit "next." It then gives me the option of Internet activation or Manual activation. Since it did not come with a serial number or text code I am assuming I want to choose internet activation. So I fire up the internet connection and hit "next." It opens with a digidesign screen and says "Internet activation for purchases in currently disabled". And below that is "Please check the DigiStore for alternate purchase methods." So I go to that site and all there is there is a list of items to purchase. All I want to do is make DINR and whatever I choose for my second pluggin to work. Seems like I must be doing something wrong. It should be easier than this. And do I need to register 7.0?

Also, I thought by upgrading, the free dynamics III would work, all I see is the EQIII, do I need to install this separately?

Any help on all the above would be appreciated.

Thanks
richard

Default Re: Registration if 7.0 and pluggins

1. It's best to register, yes. Especially if you want to be eligible for free updates for registered users later.

2. You need to create an account at iLok.com (if you don't already have one) and synchronize your iLok. Then you need to make sure the two plugins you selected are available for download to your iLok and do so. (There should have been instructions about this in the PLUS upgrade that you got from GC)

3. Dynamics III is a free download and it needs to be installed separately, yes.
