Normally use my liquid channel set to a 1073 emulation which I run my kemper through. The profiles I’ve been using are progressional ones. A blended selection of u87 121 and 57

Raoul - Here's another thought. A while back I stumbled on this website which has the separate stems for hundreds of songs. Its mainly for doing remixes, but I found it useful to download songs I was familiar with to just analyze and hear the separate tracks. It might be useful for you do the same and just listen to the stems of songs you like that have the low end you want and get a better idea of what's going on in the mix.

Might help.

Thanks Donald I give it a look, I’m now going to sign up to Nail The Mix as Dan Lancaster is doing a live session on mixing Doomed by Bring Me The Horizon in April. Dan is one of my favourite mixer engineers/producers so will be interesting to see what he did on that record. You also get the original stems too, so you can have a go mixing it.
