Default Destructive Record Bug

I ran into a this bug last week.

I work in audio post, and I like old-school style, so my setup goes:
Master-Bus goes to recording bus plus H/W Direct Out (5.1).
Record Track gets recording bus and goes to H/W Return Out (5.1). And I use Destructive Record mode.
Now suddenly this happens:
When either appending audio at the end of my recorded file, or inserting somewhere in the middle, there is a 2 in 3 chance that the recorded file will be EMPTY (==Silence), although during the recording pass both metering and monitoring on Return Out where OK. The only indication that all is not well is actually the waveform redraw. This does accurately reflect what will be on the track. On 5.1 as well as on stereo.
Workaround is quite simple: stop and try again; third time lucky almost sure.
But who wants to keep staring at the waveform redraw??

Thanks for chiming in!

The crazy thing is that the whole signal path sounds OK all the way.
It seems that the data just are not passed to the file output stream, which instead is writing zeroes.
With a bit of luck, this could be a MINOR BUG...

Forgot to mention:
HDX 2 with a second DA card slotted in.

I'm seeing destructive punch waveform update problems in PTHD11 and PTHD12, but the audio is always there. My system is fully native, though.

Sorry for reviving an old thread..

I have the same issue, Destructive Record and Destructive Punch are recording silence in most attempts. It is only happening when the satellite system (Avid Media Composer) is connected. Disconnect the satellite and it works fine.

It is PT 11.3.1 with HD TDM cards, Windows OS.
Other record modes work fine.

Did someone find a solution for this?
Updating beyond PT11 is not an option at the moment.
