Default Catchin' SYNC iOS app now with high fps

Hi guys, bit of a self promo. We have updated Catchin' SYNC to 1.0.7, free to existing users.
With the new version comes high frame rate recording, dramatically increasing the accuracy of sync measurements.
Iphone 5 users can record at 60fps, and iPhone 5s users can do at a whopping 120fps!

There are also 2 new buttons to make frame by frame adjustments easier.

As a side note, the app can also be used to measure distances of sound making events such as lightning, flare guns, bouncing balls etc.

If you own an iPhone, it's really a no-brainer for someone dealing with post, even if I say so myself.

Bought it yesterday and spent time checking our set-up. Works great. Confirmed that there is a big difference in video offset required between PTHD10 (+8 quarter frames) and PTDH11 (-2 quarter Frames!!!) on the same system with BM Intensity Pro. Video sync is much tighter and quicker to stabilize on PTHD11 (at least on the videos that play as many that play on HD10 won't play on HD11 unless they are converted to a different codec).

I think I read on another thread they won't due to too many hardware variations between Android devices. With Apple they know the delays from the cameras, with Android, they'd have to test every device they wanted it to run on and calculate the offsets.

Sad reality about Android. (and no, I'm not an iPhone user)

I got the app and like it pretty much.
However I'd like to know how do you deal with a latency in video to digital and audio to digital conversion in iOS and matching between them.
In short, if the Catching sync is a measurement device it should be calibrated near perfectly itself in order to accurate measure the testing signal.
The only way to measure an accurate sync would be by knowing the video-to-digital offset as well as A-to-D and it must be measured electronically in mS. And then this offset should be adjusted in iOS between recorded video and visual representation of the wave form.

We try to test latency of each device model and post it on our database, and you can enter this into the settings of Catchin' Sync.

There is no other way of compensating for the inherent delay in some devices. However with iPhone 5 and 5s, the cpu and the video engine came a long way and the delay is not detectable by our test device.

You state that the app has an error window of +-8ms, does running a 5S at 120fps with Catchin' Sync improve that error window and if so do you have any figures?

+-8 ms is about a 1/2 frame window. Really good for an iPhone app. Good job. Sync check is better but your app is handy for iPhone 5s users. So iphone 5 users have a frame window? It could still be useful. What about android phones?
