Hi,
What is the offset for iPhone 4s, with iOS 8? |

It is recording at 240fps so the measuring accuracy is quite spectacular. These offsets are there because Catchin Sync uses high frame rate recording, otherwise normal video recording with your camera app shouldn't be out of sync since iPhone 5. |

Re: Catchin' SYNC iOS app now with high fps
Quick question.
I have an iphone 6 and input the device offset listed above with is 31ms. So the phone constantly says 'Offset 31ms' so when I take a video and do the measurement itll say something like 'Offset 140ms' after unlocking the video and audio and sliding them to match. So in my Video Sync Offset window in Pro Tools do I input '140ms' or '171ms (adding the offset)' or '109ms (subracting the offset)'? I am a Syncheck user but find this handier for quickly checking sync on shows and spots I received in various codecs since I can very easily measure against the included 2 pop. I may be overthinking it but just want to make sure:) |

Re: Catchin' SYNC iOS app now with high fps
After you entered the offset for your device, all the measurements will reflect the entered offset, you don't need to subtract or add anything.
Though your offset of 140ms sounds quite a bit. What is your setup? |

Re: Catchin' SYNC iOS app now with high fps
Gotcha. Seems like sync is dead on now
I have an 8 core mac pro PT11 HDX running video from a Blackmagic Decklink Studio running component to a Panasonic plasma. The offset doesnt seem very high to me, I have seen similar rigs running anyway from 2qf to 25qf offset depending on the TV. |

I was also wondering, your site lists
iPhone 4s: -40ms is that iOS 7 & 8?

Re: Catchin' SYNC iOS app now with high fps
We haven't done tests on 4 and 4s on IOS 8.
Will do. My guess is that they should remain same because these phones don't utilize the high frame rate recording option. |

Re: Catchin' SYNC iOS app now with high fps
I noticed the official offset for the iphone 6 is now listed at 20ms
why did that change from the 31ms posted here? |

Re: Catchin' SYNC iOS app now with high fps
Hello Vedat,
I noticed that the device offset list is not up to date. Could you please provide details for iPhone 6 and 6s running IOS 9? Also, you havent updated the app for almost 2 years. Is it just running flawless, or have you discontinued maintenance? Thanks a lot! Cheers, Walle |
