Re: Import session data - access violation
Quote:
The issue you are describing has sometimes occured on my setup, but what I have is different and definitely a repeatable bug introduced with 8.1. Trying to import an aux-track from a project that has different I/O-Settings than the project you try to import to, leads to an error-message "Could not complete your request because An access violation has occured, while translating tracks". After that you are not able to save the project, sometimes PT hangs... I think it has something to do with the new I/O-Setup introduced in 8.1 The only workaround is to deactivate input / output / send-settings in the import settings

Re: Import session data - access violation
I got you studioJimi. I think this is pretty much a PT 8.1 thing that came with the new I/O set up?
Thanks, Chas

Re: Import session data - access violation
Ok I have been having this issue and its been driving me nuts!! Info here is correct!! Make sure all of your busses and AD/DA I/O are named the same between the 2 sessions and everything imports perfectly fine. I thought it was the aux tracks causing the problem and it was they just had different i/o path names and once I changed the names of the aux busses i/o paths to be the same I have had zero issues.
