Default Saving Copy In except it saves as a document file

I have a guitarist in FL. who is using PTexpress. As of just yesterday his sessions coming to me in gobbler and wetransfer or whatever are coming as a .ptx files but they are a document type and I cant open the session. Instead of the PT logo is shows a blank white box.

Normal procedure we always do...save copy in. Check audio files. Bundle session and upload. Pretty standard.

Any ideas what is happening?
Thanks.

It sounds like the server that they're going thru is stripping the file header. Tell him to zip the session document and email it to you. Hopefully the audio files are fine.

Well apparently I can't open files straight from the gobbler download anymore with PT 10 and 11. I now have to save the gobbler to the external and then when I open PT 10 or 11 I have to "open new session" and then open that gobbler session. I guess i didn't realize pt can't read it until I open from splash screen.
