Default M Box Pro USB 6 Pin Connection

upgrading desk top to top end ASUS MoBo, Intel i7 IvyBridge processor, Win 7, PT's 10.2. MoBo does not have a firewire 6 pin input altho i can add a firewire PCI card to make the connection to M Box Pro available. My question is: is there another way to connect M Box Pro to MoBo thru UBS 2.0, 3.0 or an added ThunderBolt PCI card which this MoBo will support? If ThunderBolt will work, how do you get from FireWire 6 pin output to TB input? Which connection is best for M BoxPro?

The best connection is the connection it has. Spend $25 and get a FW card with a TI chipset.
