You can use the built-in click rtas plugin contained in version 6.x.....or, you can use any virtual synth you have and then route the midi click options to the virtual synth. Sampletank-free has a good sidestick sample/romple.

just get a sample of a high hat or something, set your tempo manually and snap each sample to the grid at the desired note resolution. Thats how I do it, takes the best part of 5 minutes and you can be certain of having an accurate click

That will work too...but sampletank free is free and takes all of 10 seconds...the click plugin is free and takes all of a tenth of a second...and they respond to quick adjustments of tempo...and they don't eat up one of the 32 allotted audio tracks

you have to set the output to 'None' in the Click options dialog box.And then it should play back through the Mbox and not your computer speakers.

Just to clarify, setting the midi click options output to "none" will send you midi click to NOWHERE...not even the mbox. The only way you'll get a click by setting the midi click options output to NONE is by using the plugin called "click" in pro tools le versions 6+.

That's what I meant.Assuming, maybe falsely he was using the click plugin, and it was somehow routed to his onboard Midi which was causing it to play back through his speakers.

You have the click plugin inserted on a Mono Aux input. You have click selected in the Midi menu. You have none set in Click options.Do you have a sound loaded in the click plugin?

You may have to navigate from the plugin's import settings menu to the Plugin settings folder and choose a sound.Until I did that there was no factory default. As soon as I showed it the way to the folder it worked correctly.
