S1 EUControl - Need help!!

So I had an S1, one of the channel faders stopped working so I swapped it out for a new one. Upon registering the new one I'm having issues getting it to work on my mac. After messing with it for an hour I tried clicking a button that said something along the lines of "use external workstation" to see if that would help, and now eucontrol and protools won't open, they both just freeze upon opening. I've tried uninstalling eucontrol but it's still happening on pro tools. Maybe I didn't uninstall right? Any ideas?

For the freezing I would completely uninstall EuControl and Pro Tools, delete PT Prefs (back up first if you like). You might also remove /Library/Application\ Support/EUCON as well in case the .plist file therein is what's giving you grief.

When I got my replacement S1 after a warranty swap I had to connect it directly to my workstation for it to be recognized. Then I could update the firmware. After that I could connect it via my router again as before.

You can try the free tool AppCleaner to catch associated files from across your filesystem when you're removing .app files from the Applications directory.
