Pthd 9.0.2 mac

I imagine this has been covered, but the search engine yields NO results when I enter "9.0.2" Anyway, I've downloaded the updater a couple of times, and each time, when I attempt to run it, it flat out fails the install, within a couple of seconds. Some cryptic message about contacting the manufacturer or something like that, and I'm toast. Is this installer (9.0.2 update for MAC) just broken, or am I missing something? Do I even want to mess with this update?....
